About this template
Most productivity systems agree on one thing: a weekly review is where plans get corrected before they drift. This template is the minimum version that still works. It looks back with two prompts, looks forward with two, and ends with a single rating so you can see over months whether your weeks are getting better or just busier.
It is meant for anyone who keeps a to-do list but rarely steps back from it: freelancers, managers, students, parents running a household. Schedule it for one day a week and the app will remind you. The three-priorities prompt is deliberately capped at three lines, because a list of ten priorities is a list of none.
How to use it
- Schedule the template for Sunday evening or Monday morning only, so it does not appear on other days.
- Start with what went well. Reviews that begin with failures tend to get abandoned.
- Be specific about what to stop doing. Dropping one thing is worth more than adding three.
- Write the three priorities as outcomes, not activities: “send the proposal”, not “work on proposal”.
